Copper alloy military pendant dating to the late 1st century AD. It would have been attached to a horse harness. It is decorated with scrolls and the surface was originally coated with tin ensuring it was bright and eye catching. Found during excavations at St Michael’s Field in 1974.

As well as creating an inspiring garden space and a dedicated “hands-on” Discovery Centre for learning about our heritage and connecting with over 10,000 years of archaeology.
